Here’s our Shpiel

We’re a Jewish movement that’s fearlessly taking on injustice with American grit and a whole lot of chutzpah. From the culturally Jewish to every flavor of observant, we’re coming together and taking action to address our country’s biggest problems.

This is our legacy as a people. Whether it’s workers’ rights or civil rights, we have a strong tradition of speaking out against injustice. We’re embracing this tradition by telling it like it is and by holding America to its promise of liberty and justice for all. We hope you’ll join us.

What We’re Fighting For

Immigration Reform

Because Ellis Island was great— when it was open. If a law would’ve denied your Bubbe access to basic freedoms, we don’t want it.

Workers’ Rights

Because we believe that fair wages and proper protections are things every worker needs, but not every boss agrees. (There’s a reason we left Egypt, right?)

Voting Rights

Because this fundamental right is under attack (again). Let’s call out those who are blocking the young, the elderly and people of color from voting.

LGBT Equality

Because when you find that nice Jewish boy, you should be able to marry him, even if you’re also a boy.

Progressive Taxation

Because, as progressive Jews, we think everyone should pay their share and have access to the services they need.

Our History

vsGoliath is part of a long line of progressive Jewish movements. We were created by Bend the Arc in 2014 to engage the full spectrum of American Jews in social and economic issues and to take action where inequality rules.

Bend the Arc has always asked the question: how can we best contribute to a broader movement for equality and justice in the U.S.? The solution: a mix of national advocacy, leadership development and online and on-the-ground organizing. We’re bringing together Jews in big cities like New York and L.A. and in smaller towns in North Carolina, Texas and New Mexico. Southern Jews don’t just live in Florida, you know.

vsGoliath is jointly funded by Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice and Bend the Arc Jewish Action, Inc., as well as member contributions.
